Larsen Bay Lodge

Our experience at Larsen Bay Lodge was nothing short of unforgettable. From start to finish, every detail was handled with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. The location itself is breathtaking—set in a remote and pristine part of Kodiak, surrounded by incredible scenery and wildlife. We were fortunate enough to see a wild brown bear, which was an absolute highlight of the trip. The fishing was phenomenal. We went ocean fishing and also had the unique experience of taking a float plane out for river fishing—both were adventures of a lifetime. We caught plenty of fish, and every moment on the water was made better by the guidance and expertise of the crew. Captain Jason was outstanding—skilled, patient, and passionate about what he does. The rest of the crew, including Quinn, Amanda, Debbie, Tamarin, Mike, and others, were all amazing: knowledgeable, helpful, and always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The lodge itself felt like a home away from home, combining rustic Alaskan charm with warm hospitality. Every meal, every outing, and every evening spent sharing stories created memories we will cherish forever. If you are looking for the ultimate Alaskan fishing adventure in a truly spectacular setting, Larsen Bay Lodge is the place to go. We are deeply grateful for the entire team and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mike and Tamarin assured that every detail of our stay at Larson Bay Lodge was perfect! We arrived the afternoon before our first day of fishing to a delicious gourmet meal. Every meal For the next four days was incredible. Our cabin was warm and comfortable. It offered an incredible view of the bay. First day of fishing Lori and I limited out on halibut and black rockfish. Excellent Guide and comfortable Boat. Second day was our fly out river fishing day. The Lodge owned de Havilland Beaver float plane was an incredible experience and never missed a beat. Our river guide wasTop-notch. Not only did we limit out on salmon, but enjoyed observing Kodiak Island brown bears fishing in the river up close and personal. Our third and fourth days were saltwater fishing With Mike’s so. The boat was exceptionally well Equipped, we limited out on halibut, Black rockfish, and caught assorted other local favorites. Every aspect of our stay was perfect, The entire staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Recommend to anyone with a desire for an active and adventurous vacation to call Mike and Tamarin!

My family has been up to stay with Mike and Tamarin a few times now and they are world class. We had an amazing time, they go out of their way to make sure that your trip is one of a life time. They've even added Sarah to make sure that you don't have any needs, she did an amazing job as well as the whole staff. We had great crews on every boat and saw all the wildlife there is to see. Truly a great Alaskan experience, we can't wait to go back.

Awesome father/son trip with another family. Lodging was comfortable and clean with awesome views and great food. Staff (from top to bottom) was both highly professional and extremely helpful. Everyone greeted us w smiles and was very knowledgeable. The captains and guides were awesome and certainly put us on the fish. Wildlife was abundant !! A trip to remember and I'd recommend it to any fisherman or wildlife enthusiast without hesitation!!

This was our first trip to Alaska. Our only challenge was getting to Larsen Bay but it was weather-related. But, we appreciate the focus on our safety. Once we got to Larsen Bay they had a boat ready for us to go fishing on our first day. We had a great day fishing and the next day we went freshwater fishing and had a great experience. All of our guides, service, hospitality, food were wonderful and not to mention the most caring and genuine Tamarin and Mike.
