Four Flyways Outfitters

I just hunted this with a group of guys for the past week. Winds were really bad just due to weather but they still got us on birds. Jeff, Bree and Owen were great folks and enjoyed being around them. Silver salmon fishing was great. Fishing local streams we caught plenty of salmon to come home with and they provided all the tackle and bait needed. Ptarmigan hunting was a lot of fun and pretty easy. We traveled local gravel roads to locate them and then would stalk them from there. Jeff's team took care of cleaning and packaging all the game to take home. The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The food was top notch and I never felt hungry. I hunted mostly with Owen and Bree and they were great to be around. If you looking for a bucket list duck hunting experience I would highly recommend!

I’ve always wanted to hunt King Eiders, and there was only one clear answer on who to go with and that is Jeff Wasley with Four Flyways outfitters. I’ve known three other people go with Jeff and they all hold him in the highest regard when it comes to bird hunting on the Bering Sea. So on the hunt I was able to get the King Eiders that I wanted and some bonus birds which I like to call them in Old Squaw and Harlequin and even saw some White wings flying around. On the hunt I was with Jeff on the water for four days, he has amazing eyes and tell you what’s flying at you before you even see them. He’s also very good at telling you which one of the birds is more mature and which one you should take your shot at. Talking to the other guests in camp they said Owen and Michael were also exceptional guides as well. I have my USGC captain license and drive a guided boat in SE Alaska, so I appreciate the exceptional boats that Four Flyways uses. I saw the boats that the competition was using, and I would not feel safe at all on what they were using. Safety was very important when I was there, all the boats go out together and they all come in together. All the guides were exceptional driving the boats from what I observed on the water. Not only are they great boat captains but all the guides are great people who will answer all your questions and help you get the birds you want. They also cleaned all the guns and helped with other things around the camp. Also the accommodations were great for what was available on St.Paul island. Nice warm house with hot water for showers, along with cable and WiFi. Overall going with Four Flyways Outfitters is the only way to go. When people ask me who to go with there is only one correct answer and that is Four Flyways Outfitters.

I cannot recommend Four Flyways highly enough. My recent trip with them was filled with memorable & action-packed hunts. Not only are Jeff, Brianne, and all assistant guides exceptionally knowledgable about waterfowl species and skilled at optimizing hunt strategy in challenging conditions, they're all super down-to-earth and great people to spend time with. On top of the excellent guiding services and hospitality, the scenic beauty and wildlife viewing opportunities in the Izembek / Cold Bay region are truly superior.

I can’t stress enough how happy and thankful I am for the experience that I had and was provided by Jeff, Mike and Owen during my hunt last week. They make sure that you know what is going on, and what to expect, and are willing to help and or accommodate just about anything you need. They were transparent from day one and they delivered on everything they said they would and more. This group of guides is very knowledgeable and driven, there truly is a deep passion for what they do and it shows everyday. They are always upbeat and positive, and they will make sure you kill your kings!!!! With a little luck on your side, and good planning, you will land on St. Paul and Jeff, Mike, and Owen will be waiting at the airport to greet you and get you to the lodge so you can settle in. Once there you will get your waders, pick your gun if you rented one, which I highly suggest! Jeff will get dinner ready and have an idea of what you will do in the morning. Remember that best laid plans can change, you are in the middle of the Bering sea and at its mercy. Bring exactly what Jeff tells you to bring and you will have a good trip. The only thing I would bring different is a hand warming pouch that you wear around your waist so you can throw hot hands in there and keep your hands warm if you can’t shoot with gloves on like me. Make sure you buy good ammo!!!!! Best medicine for these very tough birds is #4 and #5 TSS and you don’t want to short yourself at the finish line. This group of guides does everything the right way and makes sure you are safe doing it. They run good equipment and strive to make sure everyone they take out is as safe as possible. Remember when you’re not on the water there are things you can go see such as the old church, seals, and take in the beauty of where you are. This isn’t just a trip that is over when you get to St Paul, but a journey the entire time you’re there so take the time and really soak in everything that has been accomplished when you make this trip. Final tips- Make sure you have as much time as possible on the front end and back end of your trip. We planned a total of 10 days for this trip so that we had time to make flights and made sure that if the weather did turn we could still make it both out and back in. The Kings of Kings! Jeff Wasley and the crew Mike T, Josh P & Owen M are the Kings of King Eider hunting. Not only do they put you on the birds (the rest is up to you as a hunter) but they do it in such a manor that is pleasurable, personal and extremely safe in one of the most brutal of hunting conditions out there. I have been on many guided hunts in pursuit of North Americas Finest along with other countries and these guys made my last 2 species on the North America list one of the most memorable and fun trips I have had and I would recommend them hands down to make your dreams come true, they will do everything in their power to get you where the birds want to be in the safest and most responsible way possible. With their reliable equipment and top notch experience your hunt will be safe and successful. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hunting waterfowl but they are on top of the weather and habitat the birds want to be in which means your success comes down to you making the shots count.
